Why is my IQOS not Charging;

Like any electronic device, your IQOS can experience charging problems. But why is that happening? Does the problem lie in the charging cable? Or is it the pocket charger?

For any problem that may occur with your IQOS, for example if the device is flashing but not charging, you can always search for the solution in the IQOS Support section.

In this article you can learn how to perform some simple checks if you find that your IQOS isn't charging.

Troubleshooting the IQOS pocket charger

What does it mean when the lights don't pulse or light on at all when charging?

When the lights do not turn on or pulse while charging the pocket charger may not be working properly. For this reason:

  • Plug the pocket charger into a power outlet for at least 20 minutes, using the original charging cable and IQOS adapter. Avoid plugging the IQOS into your laptop's USB port as laptop USB ports do not have enough power to power the pocket charger if it is completely discharged.
  • Reset the pocket charger. How? Press and hold the power button on the pocket charger for 10 seconds (until all the lights blink briefly).

If your IQOS doesn't charge after performing these steps, it may be a sign that there's a problem with your charging cable or adapter.

Troubleshooting your IQOS charging cable and adapter

There's one more thing you can check in case you're having trouble charging your IQOS.

  • Make sure you are using the original IQOS power cable and adapter.
  • Check your adapter and cable for any damage or obvious signs of damage (e.g. exposed electronic parts).

If no solution can be found, then you may need to purchase a new IQOS adapter or cable.
