IQOS Devices - Usage & Compatability - FAQs

For the maximum battery life of your new device, we recommend that you fully charge your device before the first use. Don’t forget: For devices consisting of 2 parts (holder and pocket charger) you will need to place the holder inside the pocket charger before connecting the cable to the power outlet.
The serial number of each device is unique and necessary to register it in your account. It is located on the box but also on the device itself.

    IQOS ILUMA PRIME: Remove the magnetic cover of the pocket charger and find the number next to the QR code.
    IQOS ILUMA: Remove the pocket charger door cover. You will see the number next to the QR code at the bottom.
    IQOS ILUMA ONE: The serial number is located on the back bottom of the device next to the CE mark.
    IQOS 3 DUO: Under the charger door cover and also under the holder’s cap. By removing these two components you will see the unique number.
    lil SOLID: Remove the cap on the top of the device. The serial number is located above the heating chamber.
    IQOS VEEV: The unique device number is located on the back, bottom of the device.
ΙQOS ILUMA: The devices of IQOS ILUMA series are designed to be used only with TEREA tobacco sticks. An innovative metal heating element, coated with stainless steel, is placed inside the stick for seamless heating of the tobacco. This is IQOS ILUMA's pioneering bladeless SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM™, that works only in harmony with TEREA sticks. TEREA™ should not be used with previous IQOS generations, as this may cause damage to your device.

IQOS 3 DUO: is designed to be used only with HEETS tobacco sticks. Using the HeatControl Technologigy the device’s blade heats the tobacco inside the stick.
LIL SOLID: is designed to be used only with Fiit tobacco sticks. This device uses a pin to heat tobacco from the inside of Fiit sticks.
Your IQOS device’s battery cannot be removed or replaced. If the device is fully charged and the battery is still not working, a reboot is recommended. If the problem persists, please proceed with the device replacement process.

Sometimes it is normal to see a small amount of aerosol coming out of the IQOS base when the warm-up process has started.
The IQOS ILUMA PRIME and IQOS ILUMA holders are compatible with the IQOS ILUMA pocket charger. These devices’ holders are not compatible with older versions of pocket chargers (IQOS 3 DUO, IQOS 2.4 Plus). The ILUMA series devices can also be charged via the IQOS 3 DUO series cable and power adaptor.
Like any electronic device, IQOS can also experience charging issues. It is possible that the problem can be related to either the charging cable or the pocket charger. Read here how you can solve any charging issues in a few simple steps.
Sometimes, it is possible that your device’s indicators may flash white or red. If they are flashing white, there may be a temperature issue, so try letting your device cool down for a while. If they are flashing red, then restart your IQOS. If they still keep flashing, please contact us so we can help you.
